A Note from the Principal

When I first walked through the doors of Cluny School, two things impressed me immediately. One was the long-standing tradition of excellence exemplified by the artifacts, photographs, awards, and pride exuding from those staff members, students, parents and Sisters of St. Joseph of Cluny that I met.  The second was the sense and spirit of family and community. Once inside the impressive structure one is greeted warmly and made to feel welcome.  Smiles abound.  Volunteers are visible everywhere.  Teaching and learning are exciting and challenging.  There are programs and activities that make the four walls come alive each day, often extending beyond the school day into evenings and weekends.  It is a place where "everybody knows your name," and kindness and respect guide the mission statement.  Quite simply, it is "the Cluny Way."

I am beginning my thirty-fifth year as an educator with enthusiasm and commitment.  I look forward to offering your children the chance to learn in a safe, loving, faith-filled environment.  Come and see what Cluny is all about.  Tour our brand new building.  Meet our teachers.  Talk to other parents.  Students from all faiths and nationalities are embraced here.  Our tuition is reasonably priced with some financial aid available.  Military families can be accommodated for various transition times. Graduates of Cluny are accepted at some of the most prestigious high schools in the state.  Stop by and visit. I look forward to showing off "the hidden gem of Newport."
