Situated in Newport, RI’s scenic Ocean Drive Historic District, Cluny School occupies a portion of the former Arthur Curtiss James estate. Picturesque stone service buildings from the original estate have been repurposed for academic and administrative use. In 1965, an auditorium and a new classroom wing were completed. Additional construction in 2007, which was architecturally sympathetic to the original estate buildings, provided green-energy-standard classroom space.
Cluny School’s pastoral, eight-acre campus includes an athletic field, two playgrounds, and several vegetable and flower gardens. With state of the art features like Wi-Fi, the School is a wonderful blend of the old and the new and provides an exceptional environment for the education of children.
